I learned today that Tom Barrow passed away recently, at age 85. He greatly shaped my thinking about photography while I was at UNM, and in the years after. I interviewed him back in 2010 – it’s a quick and insightful read. Rest in peace, Tom, you were a great friend and mentor.

Invasive Species Lumen Prints
These un-processed gelatin-silver prints (Lumen Prints) are photograms made by laying clippings from invasive species found in Albuquerque’s bosque on the photo paper and exposing it to sunlight.
